Fantastic Wayne Thiebaud workshop at the National Gallery of Art this past Sunday. The girls were quite interested in the above painting;-) and made these cakes with fake icing after touring the galleries. If you would like to try this at home, here is what you need.
- A round box from crafts store
- Sargent Creative Craft Paint colors in red, yellow, white, brown, violet and green.
- Elemer's Tile Grout
- Fake fruit
- Decorating squeeze bottles from Crate & Barrel
(1 part Sargent Art Creative Craft Paint to 5 parts Elmer's Interior Tile Grout).
They look so real we are going to play a trick or Mr. B when he returns home in a few days;-)
LOL! I was drooling--imagining flavors--thinking you have such incredibly talented girls capable of such amazing work. Good job!

You did so great with the fake icing, you'll have to try real cakes. They'd be fun to eat.
