Lily and her bedroom...

I am looking all over the blogs to get inspiration and redecorate Lily's room.

Pretty blue walls have to go... we had painted them blue for Manon when she was a baby... see, the little one used to have the big room. When Lily started 1st grade, it became Lily's room because she had to have the room with the desk;-) Of course, she does her homework on the dining room table but still...

We (Lily and I)  want something a bit more neutral, definitely more modern... Here are a few bedrooms we like...  Have you redone you kids room lately, do you have good ideas?

My daughter is 12 and I am trying to find ideas for her room as well. I really like Selena's (?) room on Gossip Girl- I like the idea, there is one wall behind the bed that has a large pattern and I believe it is in silver? It's a modern look and Blair has a neat room too, but I think her room is primarily blue. You have to catch one of the shows to see- that is what got me started.... The problem I have is that her room has a loft and the wall behind her bed is 2 stories- so I would have to get someone to paint it (bummer) and then I can't imagine what someone would charge me to stencil a pattern? So, we are stuck right now. Her room is beige and very blah with wood floors- it needs something to add some life to it. I love the idea of a "silvery pearlish" stencil over what color? Even thought of just making pearlescent polka dots....
